In this cannon placement you can see a yankee cannon ball embedded in the bricks.  It has a yellow ribbon around it.
Back to the tour boat.  They gave us an hour to look around on the island.

Next we went aboard the USS Yorktown.  Beautiful ship with WW II airplanes on the Hanger Deck and modern Jets on the Flight Deck.  Information can be found at:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Yorktown_(CV-10)

An interesting plane was the Dauntless Dive Bomber.  Seen  in tons of WW II movies.
