Bobby Rogers served with Kilo 3/26.  On January 31, 1969 he was killed when the platoon walked into a minefield.  I was next to Bobby when he stepped on the mine, but there was nothing I could do.  He was instantly killed.  Two other marines were also killed that day in this field and many others were wounded.  Bobby had a wonderful smile and loved to joke around with fellow marines.  He was a great person and an outstanding marine.  His hometown is Pasadena, Maryland.
